RE: Homeless Shelter Services

Dear Mayor Baarsma and Council Members:

At the New Tacoma Neighborhood Council’s business meeting on November 10, 2004, the members unanimously agreed on a motion to support the City’s budget in a way that would provide homeless shelter services 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

These program providers should partner to extend their hours and create a seamless integration of services. This would better serve the City, the community and the clients with more available resources.
