Economic Development

Reducing the criminal activity on Tacoma Avenue and surrounding streets has been a major issue for the New Tacoma Neighborhood Council. New businesses have opened and there is somewhat less evidence of drug dealing and prostitution in the Tacoma Avenue corridor.

The Tacoma Police Department's presence in Wrights Park has also been increased through efforts made by NTNC members.
