Study session focuses on refinements to class and comp policy
City Council members are scheduled to hear an update from Human Resources Department director Joy St. Germain on proposed refinements to the City’s classification and compensation policy during the April 21 study session. The Council will not take public comment during the noon study session in the Tacoma Municipal Building North, 733 Market St., Room 16. Resolution would award contract for rehab of Hylebos Bridge
Members of the City Council are scheduled to consider a resolution April 21 that would award a $16.9 million contract to Quigg Bros, Inc., for rehabilitation of the Hylebos Bridge in the Tacoma Tideflats.

Council to consider eliminating off-street parking requirement in IFSA

The first reading of an ordinance that would remove the requirement for off-street parking in new developments within the area of downtown Tacoma designated as the International Financial Services Area is scheduled to go before the City Council on April 21.

Public hearing scheduled regarding loan for Harold E. LeMay Museum

City Council members are scheduled to hold a public hearing April 21 at approximately 5:30 p.m. to consider the submittal of an application to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for a $3.5 million Community Development Block Grant Section 108 loan to assist with the development of Phase I of the Harold E. LeMay Museum.

Complete streets walking tour and workshop April 23

A walking tour and complete streets workshop will be held April 23 in the Salishan community on the City’s Eastside beginning at 10 a.m. The event is intended to solicit community input for the creation of complete streets design guidelines for residential neighborhoods.
