Legislative update focus of study session
City Council members are scheduled June 2 to hear a legislative update from State Senator Mike Carrell on the 2009 legislative session and homeless issues. The Council will not take public comment during the noon study session in the Tacoma Municipal Building North, 733 Market St., Room 16. Audio from the session will be broadcast live on TV Tacoma and on www.tvtacoma.com. On-demand audio archives are available on the Web within 24 hours of the meeting at www.tvtacoma.com.

Second amendment to Annual Action Plan to be considered
Council is scheduled to consider a resolution June 2 that would adopt the 2009 Substantial Second Amendment to the 2008-2009 Annual Action Plan of the Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development which includes housing, community and economic development activities, and human services funding from the Federal American Reinvestment and Recovery Act of 2009. The resolution would approve the submittal of the Substantial Second Amendment to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development by June 5, 2009.
